In 1989 I started with the fire department in Oklahoma City. I worked several days as part of the search and recovery teams during the OKC bombing in 1995. I was promoted to lieutenant in 1996 and worked 25 years for the Oklahoma city fire department. In 1998 I started a window cleaning company to supplement my income. I was the owner-operator for the first 15 years.
We started growing a bit, and we landed the Chesapeake account, a large oil and gas exploration company. It was a large account, so we gained experience with water-fed poles. We also needed help with all the work, so we were able to begin hiring people. I've been in Oklahoma City since 1987. I am originally from Ohio, but I consider myself an Okie now. It's a great place to live and an excellent place to work. The people here always loved us firefighters, and they seem to love Dave's Window Cleaning as well.
